This September, we returned to Dortmund for InterTabac, the tradeshow that brings together the global premium tobacco community.
With more than 14,500 participants in attendance, over 800 exhibitors, and one unicorn, the 2025 edition confirmed once again why it remains one of the most important gatherings in the cigar world.
We caught up with colleagues and friends with a proper smoke and a classic Gin and Tonic.
The Star of the Show
From the moment the doors opened, our stand was alive. Whether for business or a moment of banter, the Charatan booth stayed consistently busy across all three days.
Friends, partners and potential distributors from around the world made a point of stopping by, in a buzz that never seemed to fade.
Of course, Sparkles was responsible for the action. Our beloved unicorn mascot, standing 8.5 feet tall, was once again one of the most photographed guests of the show.
People didn’t just pass through. They paused, posed, smiled, and gave us the opportunity to share our brand story and the heritage that we carry through the symbol of the unicorn.
What's new?
Oh, the classic question. Although we did not publicly present anything new at InterTabac 2025, behind the scenes, we quietly shared glimpses of what is to come.
The first novelty is a follow-up to our 160th Anniversary cigar, which was named Cigar of the Year 2023 in the UK and is planned for international release next year.

The second is a new six-cigar robusto selection. A beautiful sampler which will contain two Claro, two Colorado and two Maduro in a two-level slim box. A special Duty-free 6-Robusto version of the three Charatan London blends is also on the way.

Honoured for What Matters Most
During the fair, we were deeply honoured to receive recognition for TOR’s charitable and community work in the form of the prestigious Cigar Trophy by Cigar Journal magazine.
These acknowledgements go beyond product, and are a reflection of values, culture and a commitment to what truly matters.
Auf Wiedersehen!
This year’s Charatan team included Carlos Zúñiga, Alfonso Scherzi, Huw Williams, Scott Vines, John Strange and Dave Muñoz. Together, they welcomed guests with the warmth and expertise you expect from a British cigar house with global ambition. The ambience was warm already, but we also made it warmer with a lovely Scotch served neat.
To all who stopped by the Charatan booth, thank you.
Whether you came for a meeting, a moment with Sparkles or simply a conversation over the future of premium cigars, you made this edition of InterTabac truly special.
